Opening the Petals of Spring

Every spring time, the Sun finally shows itself to the world. Since you can finally put down the heavy coats, break out the shorts and skirts, and let your skin breathe unfiltered air, you can basically open up the springtime petals. After all, spring is a pretty unique season in the year. Of course they are all unique in their own special ways, but spring is special because it brings with it the hopes of a great summer time, and the low expectations of the winter (when breaking 40 felt like a heat wave).

What is opening the petals of spring? Basically, you get to take off some clothes! Granted, you could always do that, but now you can do it without freezing off any protruding parts of your body. When you open your petals, you shed off the parts of your wardrobe that have hampered you and kept the hot body you have spent all winter long working on from being noticed. After all, if you did not want people to notice you, you would just wearsackcloth all year long. Who wants to go through that?

What you really want to do is throw off the coat, the long everything, and show off anything on you that you are proud of (and can walk outside showing off without being arrested). That is the basic rule. What you can also do is show off what you have got with neutral colors (your body should be the bright spot), or if you aren’t quite feeling secure in your beach body yet, brighten up with single piece outfits that slim you down a bit. Once you feel better about yourself, you can open up your petals more.
