The joy of Sweaters

When the winter time starts to wane a little bit, lots of people get into a mode of not thinking about staying warm anymore. And while you can think however you like, shivering is not as sexy as some people think it is. So staying warm might just be the best idea for you, especially if you live in the north, and it could be on the cool side for half of the year. So with that being what it is, sweaters are not only one of the most functional types of articles of clothing out there. They are also among the most stylish, if you know how to use them properly. Consider the fact that with a sweater, you can go from the slight crispy chill of a late summer night all the way to the all out frigid blasts that winter is so famous for, and you can naturally endure anything in between.

Sweaters can be used to cover yourself for a variety of reasons. Naturally, you can keep warmer with them on. But you can also cover up any imperfections that you have not been able to do anything about yet, and you can cover your hotness a little bit to keep people from mindlessly staring at you.  After all, there is no sense having a bunch of drooling gawkers (or hecklers) looking at you all of the time. You could almost call sweaters tools of personal sensory control, if you wanted to be really fancy about it.

But let’s face it, form is inevitably going to follow function no matter where you go. So when it comes to the aesthetic part of your wardrobe (a really important part), you have got to make sure that your sweaters will keep you toasty before you focus on being hot. While some people are in love with sweater vests, remember that your arms can get really cold really quickly. While they may add visual size to you if you are feeling too tiny, just remember that the first thing have to do is stay warm, and then look good.
